Dynamac Awarded Demolition and Landfill Oversight Contract

July 2008

Dynamac Corporation has been awarded a Demolition and Landfill Oversight contract with the State of Louisiana, Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ). Under this contract, Dynamac will provide LDEQ with regulatory oversight for the demolition of several thousand abandoned or condemned facilities in the Hurricanes Katrina and Rita-affected areas of New Orleans. These services will help ensure asbestos, household hazardous waste, and other hazardous materials from the demolitions are handled and disposed of properly. Funding for this one-year contract is valued at approximately $2 million and is being provided to the LDEQ through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Since 2006 Dynamac has provided similar inspection and monitoring services for the demolition of 6,000 properties in the Parishes surrounding New Orleans under its Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team (START) contract with the Environmental Protection Agency, Region VI. The new LDEQ contract will be managed onsite by Ms. Jodi Holewka, Inspector Supervisor, who will report to Ms. Debra Pandak, Senior Program Manager, from Dynamac's Dallas, TX office.
