First commercial payload processed at the SLSL

June 14, 2014

Congratulations to Space Florida, CSS, NanoRacks, the German Space Agency (DLR) and Astrium for the successful launch and return of the first commercial payload processed at the Space Florida's Space Life Sciences Laboratory.

The multi-national CELLBOX experiment, launched aboard Space X's Dragon capsule to the International Space Station in April and orbiting the Earth 480 times, exhibits how international cooperation can produce human health benefits worldwide. CELLBOX researchers from universities in Switzerland and Denmark aim to shed light on the complexities of both our immune systems and thyroid cancer.
