Diana MacArthur Appointed to Santa Fe Institute's Board of Trustees; Elected Treasurer and Executive Committee Member of Los Alamos National Laboratory Foundation

Diana MacArthur, Dynamac’s owner, Chair, and Chief Executive Officer, was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Santa Fe Institute (SFI). SFI is a unique scientific research community that emphasizes multidisciplinary studies to elucidate the common themes and emergent phenomena that arise in natural, artificial, and social systems. Its current research agenda, focusing on the “sciences of complexity,” attempts to reveal the mechanisms underlying the simplicity present in our complex world. SFI’s Board of Trustees counts among its members leaders in business, academia, and nongovernmental organizations.

Mrs. MacArthur was elected Treasurer and Executive Committee member of the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) Foundation, on whose Board of Directors she has served since 2003. The LANL Foundation promotes and funds educational and public service programs throughout northern New Mexico, investing in communities where LANL employees and contractors live and work.

Reflecting her wide range of interests, Mrs. MacArthur also serves on the Advisory Board of the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center; the Board of Visitors of MenningerBaylor College of MedicineThe Methodist Hospital Foundation; the Board of Directors of the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center; the Board of Directors of The Santa Fe Opera; and the Advisory Committee of Cornerstones Community Partnerships, which promotes the restoration and maintenance of historic adobe buildings throughout New Mexico.
