Joseph W. Craver III

Joseph W. Craver III

President & Chief Executive Officer

As President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Craver is responsible for the operations and strategic planning for CSS. He has more than 25 years of leadership experience applying science and technology solutions in the environmental, energy, engineering, health, homeland security and transportation markets for both federal and commercial clients. He has led complex organizations supporting EPA, NASA, NOAA, DOE, NIH, DoD and Homeland Security. Given our status as an ESOP, Mr. Craver brings almost 20 years of experience of leveraging the power of employee ownership for both the employee and customer. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a B.S. in Ocean Engineering. Mr. Craver served as an Engineering Officer on a nuclear submarine. He was also a Pilot of a deep submergence vehicle exploring the ocean depths down to 11,000 feet conducting deep ocean recovery and scientific research.

Dianne N. Janczewski, Ph.D.

Dianne N. Janczewski, Ph.D.

Senior Vice President, Scientific Applications

Dr. Janczewski has overall responsibility for the Scientific Applications operation, supporting the environmental and human health research missions of numerous federal clients. She has been a part of the Leadership Team since 1995, and is involved in both program management and business development activities for CSS. She holds a B.S. in Biology from Virginia Tech, a M.S. in Biology from George Mason University and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland, and served as American Association for the Advancement of Science, Science and Engineering Fellow from 1991 to 1993.

Georgeann N. Morekas

Georgeann N. Morekas

Senior Vice President, Emergency Response & Disaster Recovery

Ms. Morekas leads our Emergency Response and Disaster Recovery operations. She has proven management skills and success in technical training and project direction, business development and proposal preparation. She has managed programs and projects for federal and state/local agencies and for clients in the chemical, manufacturing, property development, and petroleum sectors. She holds a B.A. degree in Chemistry from McDaniel College and M.S. degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Duke University.

Mark Pierce, CIH

W. Mark Pierce, CIH

Senior Vice President, Health & Safety

Mr. Pierce directs CSS Health & Safety operations and serves as the CSS Health & Safety Officer. He has more than 25 years of experience managing and conducting government and commercial Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H) projects, including surveys and monitoring programs designed to identify, evaluate and control chemical, physical and biological hazards; and the design and implementation of ES&H training programs. Mr. Pierce holds a B.S. degree in Biology from Virginia Tech and is a Certified Industrial Hygienist.

Duane Ratliff, M.P.H.

Duane Ratliff, M.P.H.

Senior Vice President, Space Programs

Mr. Ratliff is responsible for Space Program Operations. He holds a B.S. degree in Physiology from Merrimack College and a Graduate degree in Public Health from Yale University. He has been involved in the interface between the life sciences and space science for the past 16 years, most recently in developing commercial space R&D opportunities and STEM education payloads for the International Space Station U.S. National Laboratory. His other expertise includes occupational and environmental health epidemiology, personal protective equipment design and testing, biostatistics, risk management, and automated records management systems. During his career he also has been responsible for the operations and staffing of more than 25 specialized scientific laboratories and multiple animal care facilities.

James J. Wano

James J. Wano

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Wano is responsible for the preparation of all financial reports to include budgets, forecasts, and financial statements. Mr. Wano has over 25 years of finance experience in banking, non-profit and government contracting, most recently serving as the Controller for Professional Solutions in Alexandria, Virginia. He is a CPA and has a B.S. degree in Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh.

Dixie Harvey

Dixie Harvey

Vice President, Contracts

Ms. Harvey is responsible for the negotiation, execution and management of all CSS's contracts, and development of competitive cost proposals. Ms. Harvey has more than 25 years of experience in Government contracting, and has held various positions at small, mid-sized and large companies in Contracts Management, including most recently at Ultra Electronics-ProLogic as Executive Vice President of Operations. In May, 2003 she achieved a certification in Contracts and Procurement from the University of Virginia.

Jennifer Hodges

Jennifer Hodges

Vice President, Information Technology Services

As the Vice President of Information Technology Services, Ms. Hodges is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions at our headquarters and field offices. This includes directing all IT operations to meet customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions. Ms. Hodges has supported our IT department for more than 18 years and her experience includes Microsoft Windows environments, software, and database development, security management and requirements analysis. She holds a B.S. degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Michael Wray

Michael Wray

Vice President, Communications and Business Development

Mr. Wray supports the firm's business development program, collaborating with other members of the leadership team to develop the company's business development strategy, select bid opportunities, and develop and implement proposal management plans. He began his career working for Eaton Corporation supporting their semi-conductor equipment division, but has spent the past 15-years in multiple positions within the CSS enterprise including Human Resources and Business Development. Mr. Wray holds a B.A. in Political Science from Dickinson College and graduate work in Organizational Development from Johns Hopkins University.
